PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Ken Block says he’s still healing from a “vicious and ugly” primary and isn’t ready to talk about endorsing his former GOP gubernatorial rival.

The Barrington businessman lost last week’s primary to Cranston Mayor Allan Fung, who got 55 percent of the vote. Block told WPRI-TV on Tuesday  he’s “not in a frame of mind where I can talk about any form of endorsements on any possible levels.”

A spokesperson for the Block campaign said they will not offer any comment at this time.

Fung and Block had said during the campaign they would support the eventual Republican nominee. The Democratic nominee is Treasurer Gina Raimondo.

Block also said he had nothing to do with Robert Healey becoming the replacement candidate of the Moderate Party that Block founded. The Moderate Party’s original candidate withdrew for health reasons. The state GOP is challenging the replacement.
