Wayne Brady does it all: he sings, he dances, he acts, he improvises and he hosts.

For him, though, it’s just a job.

“You don’t ask a doctor who’s gone to school for X-amount of years, ‘How come you can open that person up and look at them guts?’ Because that’s their field of expertise,” he said in a telephone interview with WPRO News. “It’s all very easy to do when you love what you do.”

Brady is bringing his wide array of talents to Cranston’s Park Theatre this month, with a special, one-night-only performance on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m.

“It’s musical improv,” he said. “There’s no script to the show.”

Brady said there’s a lot of audience participation and “it’s definitely not passive entertainment.”

“It’s really like an improvised rock concert,” he said.

In addition to his “It’s My Line” tour, Brady will appear in another season of the ever-popular “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” on the CW which premieres April 17. “Let’s Make A Deal,” which Brady hosts on CBS is in season six, and “Sophia the First,” — an animated Disney series on which Brady voices a rabbit named Clover — has just been renewed for a third season. Brady also said he’s planning to release some new music by the end of the year and unveil a new improv and music comedy special this fall.
