A West Coast vacationer in Rhode Island was piloting a drone near the wind turbine located at the Portsmouth Abbey School when he discovered a man atop the support column sunbathing.

The video published by The Daily Mirror shows the man seemingly wake up from a nap as the drone went in for a closer look; the man can be seen not wearing any safety equipment. The white-bearded sunbather looks curiously at the drone before the operator pulls back and the video ends.

The Daily Mirror reports the drone operator later approached the base of the turbine and the man waved to him.

The school says the man on top of the 200-foot turbine is a monk who works for the Abbey and that him catching some rays on the turbine is not out of the ordinary.
