(Barrington) Barrington Police are investigating the discovery of a body on a small island inside 100 Acre Cove.
Police say a motorist driving on nearby Rte 114 spotted the body of a man at around 11 O’Clock Sunday morning a short distance away from WPRO’s studios.
The State Medical Examiner was called to the scene and removed the body. Police say the ME’s office will determine the victim’s identity and cause the death.
This is the 2nd incident involving the discovery of a body on the waters off Barrington. The body of another man was discovered by a quahogger Friday morning off Nayatt Point. That person’s identity and cause of death has not been released.
