PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – The Rhode Island Ethics Commission has found probable cause to believe that East Greenwich’s town manager violated state ethics law by failing to disclose more than $200,000 paid in 2016 to a firm she owns in her capacity as manager for a fire district.
An East Greenwich resident in April filed a complaint alleging that Gayle Corrigan violated ethics laws by failing to disclose income paid to Corrigan’s firm, Management Resource Partners, by the Central Coventry Fire District.
Central Coventry’s board of directors hired her company to help reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Corrigan then failed to report on state disclosure forms any business transactions with a state or local agency that exceeded $250.
Corrigan’s lawyer says his client “inadvertently” left the information off the disclosure statement.
