"What American Idol Judge is Leaving Next Season? "

E!Online is reporting that Jennifer Lopez is leaving American Idol and won't be back next season. While J.Lo has publicly said she has yet to make a decision about her future on Idol, sources exclusively tell E!'s Mark Malkin that she she's planning on calling it quits. One source says, "she's just too busy."
Lopez is about to embark on a world tour with Enrique Iglesias that will cut into American Idol audition. Fox declined to comment on Lopez's future with the show. Meanwhile, a source close to the production tells E! News that "Fox does not want to let her go. They love her."
Lopez has been on Idol for two seasons with one-year contracts for both.

"Real Housewives of OC Star Vicki's Daughter is...Prego "
US Weekly is reporting that Vicki Gunvalson's daughter Briana is pregnant. "Briana is pregnant and just about four months along," one source tells Us. The father-to-be is Briana's husband, Ryan Culberson, a U.S. soldier who recently fought in Afghanistan. As revealed on recent episodes of the Bravo hit, 24-year-old Briana (a nurse) and Ryan eloped in Las Vegas in October of last year. Just like the elopement, the pregnancy "was definitely a surprise to Vicki," the source says. "Briana is really happy, and now that Vicki knows, she's really excited too."

"Awake, Are you There Chelsea Among New Shows to get canned "
The peacock has spoken. The Wrap.com reports:
The ratings-challenged NBC freshmen series "BFF," "Bent," "Chelsea," and "Awake" will not be back for second seasons, TheWrap has confirmed. Today NBC announced it would renew, "Whitney", "Up All Night", "Parks & Rec" and greenlit "Next Caller" starring Dane Cook as an alpha-male DJ.

"Cougar Town Finds a New Home"
According to The Wrap Courteney Cox series "Cougar Town" is moving to TBS from ABC.
The series had been struggling in the ratings since its return to the air earlier this year after a prolonged absence.

TBS Takes Over Cougar Town
Cougar Town, the acclaimed sitcom starring Golden Globe® nominee Courteney Cox, is moving to TBS. The top-rated network has ordered a fourth season of Cougar Town, to begin airing in early 2013. In addition, TBS has garnered the encore rights to Cougar Town's first three seasons of 61 episodes that originally aired on ABC.
"Cougar Town is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likable, relatable characters" said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). "We are thrilled to have Cougar Town moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network continues to expand its slate of original comedy series."
In Cougar Town, Cox stars as Jules Cobb, a recently divorced mom struggling with the challenges and pitfalls that come with a new chapter in her life. Jules spends much of her time enjoying wine with her group of friends known as the "cul de sac crew." They include her under-achieving ex-husband, Bobby (Brian Van Holt); next-door neighbor and confidante Ellie (Christa Miller); Ellie's loveably average husband, Andy (Ian Gomez); Jules' fiancé and neighbor, Grayson (Josh Hopkins); and Jules' feisty protégé, Laurie (Busy Philipps). Meanwhile, Jules' college-student son, Travis (Dan Byrd), often proves himself more adult than anyone in the group.
Cougar Town was co-created by executive producer/writer/director Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Spin City) and executive producer/writer Kevin Biegel (Scrubs). Courteney Cox and David Arquette also serve as executive producers. Cougar Town is produced by ABC Studios.
Cougar Town is the latest project to join TBS's ever-growing slate of original series.

"Sofia Vergara...Newly Single? "

The Latin bombshell who sexifies ABC's Modern Family each week as Gloria Prichett could be a single lady. Accoring to reports Sofa Vergara has split from boyfriend Nick Loeb, says People. On Monday, Vergara, 39, attended the Met Gala in New York City solo and told other guests that the relationship had ended, the New York Post reports. A rep for Vergara was not immediately available for comment. In March, The Three Stooges star said she wasn't in any rush to get married or start a family with the enviromental businessman Loeb. "They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times," a source told the Post. The couple first stepped out together in 2010, the same year Loeb was critically injured in a car accident. He later made a full recovery and even considered a run for the U.S. Senate in 2012.

"Avengers Sequel: It's Officially...ON!"
Yes Virginia...there will be a sequel to the superhero blockbuster "The Avengers."
According to The Wrap Disney Chairman Bob Iger made the announcement Tuesday, stating during a conference call that a second installment of the men-in-tights epic is on.
Though Iger's statement marked the first official announcement of an "Avengers" sequel, it's hardly surprising -- the Joss Whedon-directed "Avengers," which opened in the U.S. May 4, has already amassed a global box-office take in excess of $700 million.
Take that, Thanos.

Scituate native Robert Capron joined me live in-studio on Saturday April 14th to promote his role as, "Young Curly" in the Farrelly Brother's remake of, "The Three Stooges." Capron, 13 is a rising force in Hollywood who is about to reprise his role as Rowley starring in the third installment of, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" (out August 3rd) and is the voice of, "Bob" in Tim Burton's, "Frankenweenie" (October 3rd.) Other acting credits include appearances on ABC's, "The Middle" and, "Bride Wars" with Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. Robert chats about his humble beginnings in Hollywood and how he strikes a balance between being a, "regular kid" and his budding career!

CHRIS HARRISON SPLITS FROM WIFE: The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and his wife Gwen are separating after 18 years of marriage. He told People magazine, "Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain, and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children." "Kim and Kanye: Talking Marriage?"

Kim Kardashian is reportedly already talking about marriage with Kanye West. Despite being twice-divorced at age 31, Us Weekly reports that Kim is considering walking down the aisle with her new beau.
Just one month after going public with their relationship, sources told the magazine that Kim and Kanye are "very serious" and have been "talking marriage."
E! countered the story, saying that the marriage conversations are "a laugh riot bunch of BS."
However both sources reported that Kim plans to accompany her man on his summer tour with Jay-Z. An insider said, "She wants to be with him as much as possible. They really know and love each other."
Kim's latest divorce -- from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage -- is not yet finalized.

"Jessica Simpson Gives Birth to Maxwell Drew!"
Could it be? Could Fashion Star judge Jessica Simpson, who has a similar gestation period to an elephant (22 months) finally have given birth? Several media outlets have reported that Simpson and the rest of her famous family, including sister Ashlee and parents Joe and Tina, arrived at an L.A. hospital following the check-in of the parents to be.
UPDATE: The singer gave birth to a baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, in Los Angeles this morning. According to Us Weekly, Maxwell weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 ounces. As I reported a few months back Jessica's baby name leaked out to the press. Jessica hopes to nickname her daughter, "Maxy."

"Will Ferrell Makes His Return to SNL "
First we find out Ron Burgundy will make his triumphant return to, "Anchorman 2." Now--get out the cow bell-- because Will Ferrell returns to host the show that made him a household name on May 12th. Ferrell, 44 who left Saturday Night Live in 2002 will join musical guest Usher and I’m predicting a slew of other SNL alums. Perhaps Chris Kattan and Cherie Oteri will return for a, "Night at the Roxbury" reunion? What character do you want to see Will Ferrell play when he returns to SNL on May 12th?

NEW YORK (AP) - The low-tech musical "Once" based on the love story of a Czech flower seller and an Irish street musician and vacuum cleaner repairman in Dublin got a leading 11 Tony Award nominations Tuesday.
Two other musicals - "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It" - each got 10 nominations as the Tony committee spread the wealth.
"Peter and the Starcatcher," a play about the origins of Peter Pan, earned nine nominations and the revival of "Follies" and the new Disney musical "Newsies" got eight nods each.
The Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS from the Beacon Theatre on June 10. Neil Patrick Harris, the star of "How I Met Your Mother," will be the host.

"Amazing Race Alum Louie Stravato In-Studio "
Amazing Race alum and Providence Police detective Louie Stravato joined me live in-studio to talk about a new scripted project he’s been cast in. Working with fellow Rhode Islanders, “Newport, Rhode Island: The Series” will bring to life the paintings of world renowned, local artist William Heydt. Heydt has produced hundreds of watercolor paintings of the local people and landscapes of Newport over the past twelve years in his series “Newportant People.” Stravato plays real-life cobbler Hans Polanski who is an unaware millionaire. Other stars include reality TV shows alums like Richard Hatch. “Richard will be in a lot of different episodes” said Stravato. “He’s like a back ground character type person. He will be like the Alfred Hitchcock of the show.”

Grammy award winner. Actress. Beauty and style icon. Now Beyonce Knowles will be hailed as People's 2012 choice for, "Most Beautiful." Earlier this year Beyonce celebrated another title. Beyonce and husband Jay-Z became a first-time mom to Blue Ivy Carter. "I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," says PEOPLE's 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."
The "Crazy in Love" singer, 30, and her husband of have gone gaga for Blue, born Jan. 7 in New York City. "She's just the cutest thing," gushes Beyoncé, who croons one-of-a-kind tunes to her daughter and professes to "love" changing diapers.

"People's Most Beautiful Woman 2012- Who will it be?"
Tomorrow morning (Wednesday) People Magazine will reveal their top choice for 2012's, "Most Beautiful Woman." Last year Jennifer Lopez took the top honor leaving her without words. "Rarely am I left speechless, but I feel honored," said Lopez, 41 of the honor. Julia Roberts was 2010's recipient. After a bout with breast cancer and a career streaming ahead Christina Applegate received the honor in 2009.
Who will it be this year? Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson has made the top ten lists before but was never on top. Taking into account the personal life drama she's had to endure while still managing to exude grace and composure coupled with the fact that her natural dramatic weight loss has made her example for women worldwide could made her a contender. Though she's young actress Jennifer Lawrence has had enormous success this year with her role as Katniss in the worldwide phenomenon Hunger Games.

"Megan Fox: Transforming into a mom?"

Actress Megan Fox, 25 has a been a fodder for tabloid headlines and gossip columns for years. Her constant comparisons to Angelina Jolie and her love for Marilyn Monroe seem to drum up more interest in the Tennessee native who met husband Brian Austin Green on the set of, "Hope and Faith" in 2004. E! Online broke the news Monday that Fox is expecting her first child; the second for Green who has 10-year-old son Kassius, with ex Vanessa Marcil. The "Friends With Kids" star has stated publicly that she wants to become a mother. "I want at least two, probably three kids," the actress said in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. "I've always been maternal."
She may be maternal...but a role model? During an interview with The Times, on the topic of being a role model, Fox stated: "It depends on what your idea of a role model is," and continued with, "If your idea of a role model is somebody who’s gonna preach to your kids that sex before marriage is wrong and cursing is wrong and women should be this and be that, then I’m not a role model. But if you want your girls to feel strong and intelligent and be outspoken and fight for what they think is right, then I want to be that type of role model, yeah."
Fox and Green were married in Hawaii in June 2010.

"Rhode Island Natives on NBC's Smash tonight"

East Greenwich native Debra Messing won't be the only Rhode Islander on NBC’s, “Smash” (Mondays 10/9c) tonight. The freshman primetime drama, which has already been picked up for season two, revolves around the creation of a new Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. In tonight’s episode titled, “Publicity” Karen (Katharine McPhee) finds herself seduced by the glamorous life of new BFF Rebecca Duvall (Special guest star Uma Thurman)... but can Rebecca be trusted?
At one point during, “Publicity” you’ll catch Cranston musician Dan Mills and his band which also includes fellow Cranston native Jesse Humphrey who will be in a scene showcasing their musical talents. Mills, who also stars currently in the stage hit, “Million Dollar Quartet”; one of the shows coming up in the 2012-2013 PPAC season, told me at the PPAC season reveal party earlier this month that he's looking forward to tonight's episode:

"Guiliana and Bill Rancic's Big Announcement is..."
Moments ago E! News Host Giuliana Rancic and her husband Apprentice winner/business man Bill Rancic announced on The Today Show that after years of uncessessful attempts including fertility treatments and Giuliana's bout with breast cancer that they are expecting their first child.
Due to her treatments for breast cancer and other health concerns the couple optioned to go with a, "gestitional carrier"; meaning a surrogate that is carrying the couple's biological child. The stars of Style's Giuliana & Bill know the sex of the baby but opted out of revealing. The baby is expected to arrive in late summer.

The newly raven-haired Rhode Island native Erika Van Pelt has settled back into the Ocean State after her eye-opening experience with American Idol. The articulate alto who was a mobile DJ/wedding singer before hitting the, “Idol” stage will be returning to the show that made her a household name. Van Pelt, who joined me in-studio earlier this week, will head to Hollywood next month to shoot the finale and then head on to the American Idol tour. Is she still keeping up and watching American Idol? Could there be more than music in her future? Out of the judges; who gave her the best feedback? Her answers could surprise you, Idol watchers!

"America's Next Top Model Gets an EXTREME Makeover- Tyra Fires Judge(s)?"
"You have all the potential in the world but...."
Some of my favorite words uttered by America's Next Top Model host/creator Tyra Banks. Looks like Banks will not only be looking for the world's next top high fashion model...but a whole new judging panel!
TheWrap.com reports that Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander plan to leave after the current and 18th cycle of the model-search reality show that debuted on the CW in 2003.
"Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the ‘Top Model’ family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects,” said Banks and fellow executive producer Ken Mok in a statement.
The move comes as ratings for the show, one of the longest-running on the CW, have slipped. "Top Model," widely known as "ANTM," joined the CW when it succeeded the WB and UPN.
I smell Bravo spin-offs.

Hewitt was on, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night promoting her new Lifetime show, "The Client List" when Jimmy Kimmel took it upon himself to chat about the show's, "titillating" ads that feature a cleavage-clad Hewitt. Hewitt noted, “Thank God none of them have been put up in my grandmother’s neighborhood yet.” She later laughed, “They’re like King Kongs!” Take a look at the big reveal.

"Jonathan Frid, 'Dark Shadows' Vampire Barnabas Collins, Dies at 87"
The Wrap.com reports that Jonathan Frid, who played vampire Barnabas Collin on the cult classic TV show "Dark Shadows," has died. He was 87.
Frid died just weeks before the release of a feature film adaptation of the show starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton.
