(PHOENIX) -- Carl Edwards got to victory lane for the first time in two years as he wins the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday.
Daytona 500 winner Jimmie Johnson came in second, while Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. rounded out the top five in what resulted in a wild Green-White-Checkered finish in Phoenix.
The win snapped a 70-race skid for Edwards, who last won in Las Vegas in 2011. He led for the race's final 78 laps.
Edwards was coming off a bad week at Daytona, wrecking five cars in last week's race. With two laps remaining, he received a push from Keselowski on the restart that helped him seal the victory.
Danica Patrick crashed her car into the frontstretch wall on Lap 185 and was forced to leave the race. She was not harmed in the accident.
