It’s important that the average Joe and Jane Public out there understand what has been coming out about the Obama administration and the different issues involved with each story. Here are the three big stories plaguing the President and a breakdown of what you need to know about each one.
You’ll hear a lot from the President about how all these hearings and testimony from witnesses is nothing but a sideshow. He’ll tell you it’s all political. He’s right. It is all political. Just like it was ALL political when he and his administration made the decision to blame this terror attack on a silly “anti-Muslim video”.
For days after the attack the administration pushed this scenario even though the President of Libya and their own state department employee said that this had nothing to do with a video. According to ABCnews.com Deputy Ambassador Greg Hicks told congress: "The You Tube video was a non-event in Libya," Hicks said, denying there was ever a connection to unrest in Egypt. "Our assessment in the embassy was that video was not an instigator of anything."
What you need to know is that the real issue here is not only incompetence of handling security and a terror attack on a diplomatic building and personnel, but also the fact that the White House misdirected attention from it two months before an election.
The IRS targeting conservative groups:
This story is interesting in the way that people react to it. I laugh when there are people who are shocked by this. I believe there are actually many who are shocked by this. People on the political side of the President think that their guy would never ever allow the IRS to target people because of their political affiliation. They may be right. There is no evidence yet that the President had direct knowledge of or advocacy for what happened at the IRS. However, it seems incomprehensible to me that a bunch of IRS lackeys did this on their own.
What you need to know is that this may not be the direct work of the President or Democrat leadership but someone was doing it on their behalf at the very least.
The Subpoena of the AP Phone Records:
What you need to know about this story is that it’s probably the one that will cause the President the most headaches in the short term. The Justice department secretly subpoenaed phone records of AP reporters to investigate a leak of some national security information. The press doesn’t like that. They NEVER like that.
What you need to know about this story is that the media has been VERY good to President Obama and the Justice Department has now bitten the hands that feed the entire administration. They’re anger is your win. This is a very good thing for the public since finally the honeymoon can end and we can actually treat this President just like any other President. He’s a politician looking to keep power.
