A Coventry High School math teacher was arrested Friday after making threats to public officials, cyberstalking and making obscene phone calls.
Todd Gillheeney, 33, who was recently fired from Coventry High School, had sent several threatening/disturbing Tweets to the School Resource Officer. After an investigation, the Coventry Police searched Gillheeney's Coventry home and took him into custody.
During the saerch police also seized a Stag Arms AR-15 rifle, several magazines for said firearm, over 400 rounds of ammo, and assorted computer and phone electronic devices. Police say Gillheeney was taken into custody without incident.
Gillheeney will be arraigned in Kent County District Court at 2:00p.m. Friday. He will be charged with;
1. Threats to Public Officials
2. Cyberstalking and Cyberharassment Prohibited
3. Crank or Obscene Phone Calls (Harassing)
