The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of Rhode Island.

The storm is expected to bring in two to four inches of snow. The advisory is for northwest Rhode Island and northern Connecticut and is in effect for Wednesday from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Forecasters say the snow may change to rain and sleet on Wednesday morning and could cause problems during morning rush hour.
