State Police Colonel Steve O’Donnell cautioned Rhode Islanders not to drink and drive and to use caution on what is expected to be a traffic-heavy Super Bowl Sunday.

In a release, O’Donnell said State Police will have zero tolerance when it comes it comes to impaired driving.

“We want you to enjoy your Super Bowl parties and cheer the Patriots on to victory, but do so in a responsible manner,” said O’Donnell in statement.

O’Donnell also encouraged Rhode Islanders who witness erratic driving should report it by dialing *77, and that it would help keep people safe during the game.
