New England Patriots tight and end and Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski surprised tubers Sunday night when he showed up at Yawgoo Valley in Exeter to go snow tubing.

According to Yawgoo Valley’s General Manager Patty Dewardener, she was skeptical when a friend of Gronkowski’s called ahead to setup an after-hours snow tubing session.

“You can imagine my reaction, ‘oh yeah right buddy I wasn’t born yesterday’ and I gave him a hard time for about 10 to 15 minutes,” said Dwardener.

After sorting the situation out, Dwardener arranged for a handful of employees to stay late, however she never told her employees who was coming. She said the staff was shocked when they saw who arrived.

“Jaws dropped and the cell phones came out.”

Dewardener said Gronkowski had a good time and was gracious with employees taking pictures. She said the tight end satyed for about an hour and a half and even signed door prizes for a future event.

“It was great, it was great to meet him, and it was trill to everyone who was up there.”
