Who knew Rhode Island had world class hotels? Travel and Leisure Magazine recently release its list of top 100 hotels in the world, and Little Rhody took two consecutive spots on the list.

The Ocean House in Westerly and Newport’s Chanler at Cliff Walk came in at 19th and 18th place respectively. The travel magazine waxed poetic about the Ocean House’s Victorian styling’s, a “nod to old-world glamour,” and it modern amenities, while the Chanler got points for its historic feel and its top-notch restaurant, The Spiced Pear.
The ocean views of both hotels were also a key selling point for Travel and Leisure.
The Ocean House and the Chanler were the only two hotels in the entire New England region to make the list.
