Saying that the president’s words were more “colorful” than he’d like, Professor Marc Genest of the Naval War College in Newport told WPRO’s Tara Granahan that Pres. Donald Trump’s comments were necessary.  This after news broke yesterday, that dictator Kim Jong Un had successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles.  President Trump announced that if North Korea’s threats continue, “They will be met with fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

Genest told Tara that while the president’s message was “stark”, Trump has made correct moves with North Korea: hit economically, diplomatically, and now use the “deterrent theory”, a psychological weapon.   The strategy and policy professor was adamant that Kim Jung Un is not insane, instead “he’s evil” and a “rational actor”.
