A Woonsocket woman was arrested Thursday for driving drunk with children in the car, just about a week after being charged with the same offense.

Warwick Police said they received a call about a possibly intoxicated woman trying to leave the Oakland Beach Seawall area with three children in a minivan. Soon after that call, police said, a traffic officer spotted the minivan driving erratically on Oakland Beach Avenue.

Police said they arrested Duran on suspicion of drunk driving, but she later refused to take a breathalyzer test. She was then charged with drunk driving, refusing to submit to a chemical test, and operating on a suspended license.

Duran was held pending a Friday arraignment. The children were turned over to the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF).

Last week, State Police said they arrested Duran for drunk driving and other offenses. At that time, authorities said she’d been trying to leave Lincoln Woods State Park with five children in the car, and that her blood alcohol content was three time the legal limit.
