Governor Gina Raimondo’s State of the State address is set to strike a similar tone to speeches she’s given recently, telling reporters she plans to keep a continued focus on job training, education, and building on economic development from the past years.

“Now the second term has to be focused on expanding that economic recovery to everybody and making it strong and resilient,” she said.

She said her first term was about coming back from an economic crisis and creating jobs. She said her first address of her second term will discuss how the State has already done that, but also how to “protect our future.”

Raimondo will begin her address at 7 pm on Tuesday night.
